Our Silent Auction will raise funds for new power‑assist technology, including adaptive steering and sheeting systems designed by our team. Your support will help us acquire the components needed to bring this system to life and expand access for sailors with limited mobility. It is because of generous donors like you that Able Sail Toronto can continue offering these vital programs to individuals living with physical disabilities.

How Our Silent Auction Works
At a silent auction, all donated items are displayed on tables so guests can browse at their own pace. Each item has a bid sheet placed in front of it. To place a bid, simply write:
  • Your name
  • Your cell number
  • Your email address
  • Your bid amount
You’re welcome to return at any time to increase your bid by adding a new, higher amount on the same sheet. When the auction closes, the highest bid listed wins the item.
How to Complete Your Payment

If you are the winning bidder, an Able Sail Toronto representative will come to you with a tablet and guide you through a quick, secure checkout. All payments are processed online through Able Sail Toronto’s CanadaHelps page, ensuring your contribution is handled safely and recognized as a charitable donation. After payment is submitted, CanadaHelps will automatically email you a tax receipt for the eligible amount.

2020 Olympic Musto foul weather gear

Sailing judge Lynne Beal from Toronto was a member of a 28-person international jury at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo (her fourth Olympic Games) and has donated her foul weather gear. The official emblem is a harmonized indigo‑blue chequered pattern known as ichimatsu moyo, a traditional Japanese motif dating back to the Edo period. Unity in Diversity—reflecting Japan’s leadership hosting Games that celebrates connection, inclusion and shared humanity.
