November 6th, 2019 Tracy Schmitt was inducted into the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame (CDHF), in the category “Achiever”. The CDHF honours inductees for being societal role models and leaders of the disability rights movement. Presented by the Honourable David Crombie, Chair, the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame.
Tracy is an inspiration, a gifted communicator, Tracy's volunteering and philanthropic contributions are extensive, and her smile lights up the room. Tracy is a member of Able Sail Toronto and has been a member of National Yacht Club when she was on the National Development Team, sailing the 2.4mR sailboat and was a Quest for Gold awarded athlete. Tracy won first place in Mobility Cup 2013 Silver Fleet that was held in Halifax Nova Scotia.
