Able Sail Toronto and National Yacht Club have been awarded Mobility Cup 2021.

that Mobility Cup 2020 hosted by Able Sail Toronto and National Yacht Club that was scheduled for August 30 to September 3, 2020 will now be moved forward to 2021. Due to the current circumstances related to COVID-19, the health and well-being of our sailors is paramount.

The Mobility Cup chairs and the AbleSail Network of Canada board have been monitoring and discussing for the last few weeks various scenarios and the decision was finally made. We have already begun to plan the festivities for next year, and we will keep you updated over the coming months. We promise you that it will be an awesome Mobility Cup!

This annual regatta will provide persons with disabilities and their companions an opportunity to enjoy 5 days of racing Martin 16 keel boats in either the Silver or Gold fleet. This is a great opportunity for the sailors not only to test their sailing skills against top level competitors in an international regatta, but also to socialize with old and new friends during the day and at several evening events taking place at National Yacht Club.

Mobility Cup is Canada's annual regatta for sailors with a disability.  The event is open to anyone with a significant disability - regardless of their sailing experience.  Each year approximately 50 sailors compete in the Gold or Silver fleets, depending on their skill level.  The regatta takes place in a different location each year.  Over the years Mobility Cup has become an international event, drawing in competitors not only from one ocean to another within Canada but also the United States and even as far away as Europe or New Zealand.

Recognized as the "regatta of possibilities" it brings together people who may have never sailed before with seasoned veterans.
